Tactical Drone Course

This thorough course will teach law enforcement agencies effective techniques using unmanned aerial vehicles.  Law enforcement is one of the most dangerous career paths one can choose, so when training for the worst-case scenario, CRI understands there may be only one chance to get it right.  The objective of this course is to instruct revolutionary tactics to law enforcement on the proper implementation of the UAV in order to safely rescue hostages as well neutralize the hostage taker(s).     

Course Outline

  • Day 1:  Simulator Flight Skills (evaluation and skill building with quad copter and fixed wing)

  • Day 2:  Drone Preflight, mini quadcopter and quadcopter fight skill building

  • Day 3:  LE agency components, tac drone component usage, drone operation planning and student tasks

  • Day 4:  Tac drone flight exercises, tac drone operation student task

  • Day 5:  Tac drone flight exercises, tac drone ops and student task delivery, course simulator flight challenge test

Prerequisites

   To attend you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Current Certified Law Enforcement Officers     

  • Current Reserve Law Enforcement Officers     

  • Current Military (all branches) Active Duty, National Guard or Reserve Component serving in their branches MOS for Military Police Officers

It is strongly recommended that all students have an FAA Part 107 (Remote Pilot) License before starting any of the

tactical drone courses. If students do not have this license, they may still attend the course, but they will not be able to fly

drones commercially, meaning no monetary compensation will be allowed until they receive this license. Also, without a license, the pilot cannot fly over 25' vertically, per FAA regulations.
